Mongolian-born designer Oyuna Tserendorj founded OYUNA to share her homeland's precious cashmere with the world while preserving the nomadic culture and fragile environment. Inspired by Mongolia’s vast landscapes, OYUNA works closely with herders to sustainably source cashmere. Each piece has a simple ring on it, representing their soulful cashmere circle that connects the land, its nomads, OYUNA's producers and customers.

Inspired by Mongolia's vast open landscapes and endless blue skies, Oyuna Tserendorj founded OYUNA to share the beauty and purity of Mongolian cashmere with the world. The daughter of a nomadic herder, Tserendorj studied fashion engineering in Budapest but was deeply influenced by summers spent in the Mongolian pastures. For herders, true happiness lies in harmony with their livestock and the pristine environment – a philosophy that shapes OYUNA’s commitment to sustainable cashmere production.

OYUNA works directly with Mongolian nomads, ensuring cashmere is sourced responsibly to protect the fragile ecosystem and herding traditions. Recognizing the environmental challenges posed by overgrazing, the brand advocates for a return to traditional pasture rotation, which allows grasslands to recover and supports biodiversity. Partnering with the Sustainable Fibre Alliance, OYUNA implements practices that prioritize environmental conservation, animal welfare, and the livelihoods of nomadic herders.
